Tribute Baking, a growing wholesale bakery manufacturer, is hiring a full-time
Associate Account Manager
(AM) to learn and thrive in the food industry! This person will help us meet our revenue goals by keeping our company engaged with customers, growing our broad product lines, and innovating our customer relationships. The Associate Account Manager should have an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling and creative way, while thinking critically about providing solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate is highly customer-focused and hungry to learn and grow within the sales organization. Often tasked with in-person customer meetings, developing customer growth opportunities, and attending trade shows, the Associate AM must be both personable and professional. Having experience working in the food industry is a plus but we are excited to show you the ropes if you are coming from another industry. The successful candidate will be out-going, love selling and working with great bakery products and find fulfillment in winning.
This position is based in our Boston, MA location and will report to our VP of Sales also located in Boston. There will be a comprehensive onboarding program working cross-functionally with our sales and marketing team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for retail customers in the Northeast East Region of the United States. Keys for success will be growing the current sales base, cross selling items the customers don't buy, and managing broker activities.
Working with operational team to ensure POs are delivered on time, and/or category management to change scheduled appointments.
Responsible for selling all of Tribute's portfolio, both cake line and bagel line to new and existing business.
Assist with implementation of new cake designs and new flavors for retail customers.
Develop solutions to address customers' needs and challenges.
Learn sales processes including CRM and identify opportunities for growth across the territory.
Achieve growth objectives by planning thoroughly and managing time across multiple activities.
Ability to mine provided market data and trends on customers performance to help the customer drive growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication, interpersonal, creative thinking, problem-solving, presentation and organizational skills
Ability to build rapport and relationships with customers, brokers, and Tribute Baking team
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, anticipate and navigate issues to meet customer and Tribute expectations
Proven strong organizational and time management skills
Strong work ethic with a commitment to building a career path
Develops and executes action plans and is responsive and timely
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office applications: Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Travel is required. Frequent local travel is expected. Candidates should expect travel 1-2 month beyond local geography.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Food-industry experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or an associate degree in relevant fields
