Donor Experience & Strategy Specialist

to join the Donor Experience & Strategy Team. This team integrates the core functions that shape how donors experience and invest in the institution—including Donor Experience (Engagement, Stewardship, Recognition, and Acknowledgement), Development Communications, Campaign Operations, Research & Portfolio Management, and Proposal, Case, and Gift Agreement Development. Together, these areas ensure that donors are identified, inspired, informed, and recognized through a cohesive, data‑driven approach that connects philanthropy to impact and aligns with institutional priorities and campaign goals. This exempt position reports to the Operations Manager, Donor Experience & Strategy. Position Summary

The Donor Experience & Strategy Specialist provides project coordination, data, and administrative support for stewardship programs, acknowledgements, and donor communications. This role assists in maintaining accurate donor records, processing materials, and executing events and mailings that strengthen donor engagement across all levels. RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Operations Manager to prepare, process, and track donor acknowledgments, gift agreements, and related correspondence accurately and on time. Support data entry, tracking, and reporting of stewardship deliverables, recognition programs, and impact metrics. Assist with managing donor lists, mailings, invitations, and other communications to ensure consistency and quality. Partner with the Operations Manager and team to support logistics and execution of donor experiences, both virtual and in‑person, including courtesies and recognition touchpoints. Work with the team to coordinate projects, schedules, and cross‑functional initiatives for smooth operations. Help maintain and improve team systems, documentation, and workflows to support donor relations best practices. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 1–3 years in administrative, operations, or advancement support roles. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM databases. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Strong project management and interpersonal communication skills. Show grit, work with enthusiasm, think with intellect, and act with honesty and humility. Dedication to growth and professional development with an openness to coaching and mentoring. Able and willing to perform or assist with other duties as assigned. Due to the collaborative nature of the role and the consistent, in‑person interaction with the Foundation staff is necessary. This position is based in Annapolis and is not eligible for a full‑time remote working arrangement.
