Position Overview The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the development and execution of communications platforms that bring our corporate brand to life. Crescent is seeking an experienced individual to manage the company’s externally‑facing corporate communications, which include media relations, company and executive awareness, digital and social media, product & pipeline communications, as well as to support internal communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry developing communications strategies and managing creative brand awareness programs across multiple channels and audiences. This position reports to the Chief Communications Officer and is a highly visible role where you will have regular interaction with executives and across various functions and teams in our rapidly growing organization, including Medical Affairs, Clinical, Finance, Legal, Regulatory and Human Resources, and the opportunity to engage with external parties such as media, agencies and experts.
Responsibilities
Manage the development and execution of strategic communications plans and initiatives aligned with our corporate goals to build company awareness with key stakeholders and support the business
Collaborate regularly with other functions within the company and outside agencies to elevate key corporate milestones, create compelling storylines to drive media coverage and increase brand awareness
Create a comprehensive digital media plan incorporating various platforms (social, web, video), developing creative content and design, ensuring messaging consistency and measuring success; manage Crescent social media accounts
Cultivate relationships with key media stakeholders and serve as media contact for inquiries
Draft communications materials, including news releases, Q&A documents, talking points, messaging platforms, interview briefs, corporate presentations, social media, website copy and other digital content
Design and implement a comprehensive executive thought leadership strategy
Collaborate with multiple functions on pipeline milestones and data readouts, develop and manage effective crisis communications
Partner with Medical Affairs on patient engagement and advocacy initiatives
Work closely with HR to enhance the visibility of Crescent with potential employees
Collaborate with HR on the execution of internal communications that drive engagement in our business and culture, including managing new programs and channels
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing/public relations, journalism, English or related discipline
10+ years of corporate communications experience in the biotech/pharma industry with a demonstrated track record of developing communication strategies that advance business objectives
Experience in driving results in media relations, digital and social media, and pipeline/product communications
Strong writing skills in a variety of areas, from scientific information and data to creative writing
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization and to be a self‑directed team player
Detail‑oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet budget and deadlines while operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and confidently in a manner appropriate to the specified audience, whether verbal or written
Ability to travel periodically as required

Pay Range The anticipated salary range for this role at the Director level is $213,000 – $235,000 and at the Senior Director level is $256,000–$283,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
Pay Transparency Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long‑term incentive program.
