Project Technical Designer Overview Design professional serving as Technical Lead for projects, responsible for the technical execution of assigned projects as a core team member.
Responsibilities Lead and own the technical execution of small to medium projects.
Partner with design and management leaders throughout project lifecycle.
Participate in all project aspects, from scope definition to documentation and construction administration.
Manage technical design aspects, including evaluation of solutions.
Ensure construction documents align with design intent.
Conduct code analyses and liaise with jurisdictions.
Review submittals, maintain logs, and assist in client communication.
Conduct site observations and prepare reports.
Coordinate project teams and document design details.
Apply advanced techniques and adapt standard practices as needed.
Capabilities Fundamental competency in technical project responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of the full design process and technical execution.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational abilities.
Experience across all project phases and with building codes and materials.
Proficiency in REVIT, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and BIM skills.
Requirements Degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited university.
Typically eight+ years of experience in commercial interior design or architecture.
