Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer

Commitment: Independent Contractor, Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Location: San Diego, Hybrid, 3-4 days per week in San Diego office

Duration : 5-6 months

Compensation: $25-30/hr, 20-30 hr/week

Start Date: Week of January 26, flexible

As a production designer, your role will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of visual consistency and quality across client work, marketing materials, ad creative, and more. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, thrives in a production-focused environment, and is proficient across the Adobe Suite. This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in fast-paced workplace setting, looking to bring their production expertise to impactful projects. Ideally looking for an individual with a background in sports and/or a passion for the industry. Agency experience is a plus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build out design materials across diverse formats, including social media, paid ads, email, print, OOH advertisements, events, presentations, and more.
  • Uphold high standards of process and production technique, enhancing the overall quality of our work.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, video editors, creative directors, and marketing managers to execute concepts aligned with established client brand systems.
  • Ensure consistency in fonts, text placement, photo treatments, and overall visual quality.
  • Create accurate versions of digital banners, print ads, and other materials, rigorously adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, catching edits and inconsistencies across all client materials.
  • Support rendering of creative concepts into various needed placement requirements for seamless execution.
  • Translate Photoshop assets for specific clients into Canva templates
  • Prepare final files for digital and print production, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
  • Apply an understanding of production tools, systems, and processes to optimize workflow and output.
  • Stay current on production standards and technology to enhance user experience and align with organizational goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS : Must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • 2-3+ Years of Production Design Experience in an Agency or sports setting: You have a strong foundation in production design, ideally within a fast-paced agency setting.
  • Must be an expert in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere); Adobe After Effects a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Impressive Portfolio: Your portfolio showcases precision, attention to detail, and fluency across the Adobe Suite. Applications without a portfolio link or attachment will not be considered.

    • Self-starter with strong time management skills to work on multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
  • Creative Support: You excel at executing established designs with precision, collaborating with designers and stakeholders to bring concepts to life while maintaining consistency and quality.
    • Exceptional experience in branding along with an eye for fonts, colors, shapes, designs, styles, and project layouts
    • Attention to detail to ensure that specifications are met and free of errors
  • Keen Listener: You understand client and team needs, offering sound guidance and solutions that uphold best practices and production standards.
    • Exceptional listening and communication skills to foster great team working relationships
  • Process-Driven: Experienced in executing and refining multi-phase projects, you know how to streamline production workflows from setup to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality control at every stage.
    • Patience to send creative through multiple approval processes
