Orthopedic Sales Representative, Extremities/Trauma

The ExtremitiesandTraumaSales Representative is responsible forachieving predetermined sales goals and quotas withintheirteam’s assigned territory. SalesRepresentativesmustestablish, build , andmaintaincustomer relations through constantcommunication and in-person appointments. This position is specifically responsible formaintainingexpert knowledge ofthetrauma market and ourextremitiesandtrauma product portfolio. You will consultsurgeons in the operating roomregardingthe use of our implants and instruments.Pre-existing knowledge and experience in thetrauma field is preferred but notrequired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory. Represent Arthrex Maine
an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products by working with surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex isa global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics.
Increase territory results by building andmaintainingstrong business relationships and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
Communicate with current and new customer accountsregardinga variety of topics, including product updates, changes to productportfolioand educational programs.
Implementnew salesplans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territoryobjectives.
Cross-selladditionalproducts or manage new product introductions as they become available.
Address any problems that ariseatthe account.
Support compliance and the principles of responsibility bymaintainingthe privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reportingnoncompliance; and adhering to applicable federal,stateandlocal laws and regulations, accreditationandlicenser requirements andcompany policiesandprocedures.
Receivecoaching,trainingor mentoringfrom sales manager; transfer knowledge topeers asneeded.
Maintain training in sales skills, productfeatures/benefitsand other critical business applications.
Collect competitive data and remain current on industry,customerand competitive trends.
Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, asrequired.
Ability tolift upto 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements Education and Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedicexperience;DEXandtraumaexperience preferred
Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market
Must be comfortable in open operating room environments
Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex
Knowledgeofoperatingroom protocols and procedures
Ability to learna high levelof technical information,anatomyand indications as it relates to surgery and procedures
Priorsales experience is a plus
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: MS Office
Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90)
Strong public speaking and communication skills
Strongsenseof urgency
Ability to work well under pressure
Self-assuranceand competitive drive
Ability to work independently, makedecisionsand take responsibility forthem.
