Mueller Communications, a well-established and highly regarded communications and marketing firm, is looking to meet experienced senior-level communications professionals with
strong experience in Public Affairs or community engagement
to add to its talented team. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and lead strategy, manage teams through execution, participate in new business development efforts, and counsel clients through communications challenges from crises to awareness-building campaigns. Mueller Communications’ clients have high expectations, and we are looking for another A-player to join us in exceeding those expectations. We take a collaborative problem-solving approach and this position is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of and leading close-knit teams and is looking to grow themselves and others through mentorship and challenging client work. What you'll be doing
PROJECT & TEAM MANAGEMENT
Lead & oversee client team activities (projections, monthly planning, regular internal client reviews), ensuring appropriate staff are assigned to your projects CLIENT MANAGEMENT
Demonstrate the ability to present recommended solutions to client challenges, as well as forward-thinking, proactive growth opportunities Demonstrate “value add” to client relationships PUBLIC AFFAIRS / COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Demonstrate working knowledge of the legislative process and players Establish relationships with community civic leaders, organizations and community partners Demonstrate ability to develop a public affairs plan/strategy and tactics QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
7+ years of PR or communications experience, particularly with Public Affairs or community engagement Positive, problem-solving attitude Prior agency experience is a plus As team culture is important to us, candidates must demonstrate a desire to teach and mentor junior staff and promote positivity and team mentality WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE
