Be the one who makes a difference—with us.## **POSITION OVERVIEW:**The Senior Account Manager will work directly with staff at client schools, assisting with the management of their business office function under the direction of a member of Vertex-PA’s leadership team. This is a hands-on role that entails responsibility for the accurate recording of financial transactions and faithful implementation of internal controls, as well as effective communication with school staff and vendors. Specific tasks will vary with the client but may include: ## ## **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Maintaining accurate financial records for multiple PA Charter Schools, including reconciliations, month-end close and variance analysis to budgets.* Working with Vertex’s leadership team to support schools in managing fiscal budgets, annual external audits, and public and private grant spend.* Preparing monthly financial statement packages for Finance Committee and Board meetings with regular attendance of Finance Committee meetings.* Preparing and submitting timely and accurate fiscal compliance reports with state and local agencies.* Serving as a full-time and engaged member of Vertex-PA’s staff.## ## ****KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:********Education/Certification/Experience:***** Bachelor's degree required; focus on business, accounting or related field preferred.* 3-5 years of experience in non-profit, government, or school accounting preferred (CPA or MBA, a plus).* Excellent spreadsheet skills; familiarity with accounting/project management software ( QBO, Sage Intacct, ASANA a plus).* Strong social, verbal, and relationship-building skills.* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines.* Ability to demonstrate professionalism and sound judgement in all client and internal communications.******BACKGROUND CHECKS:******* The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.## ## ****PHYSICAL AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:***** Travel to client locations may be required from time to time.* Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time, to enter data into a computer keyboard, to research identified job-related duties using the Internet and other resources; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.***Be excited to be a part of our team and grow your career with us!***Be the one who enables us to positively impact over 258,000 students across multiple states while driving our growth forward so we can enrich even more lives.
