Responsibilities
Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product. Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer them to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, approved materials) within GSK guidelines and values. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in severe asthma therapeutic areas. Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers. Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times. Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales. Develop and implement account-specific strategies for customers (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, business/office managers). Foster and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations (Market Access), Medical (MSLs) and other GSK functions. Manage allocated resources effectively (financial, etc.). Provide outstanding customer service by addressing requests and inquiries from customers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Ability to travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% overnight in some territories Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle Selected candidate hired at an appropriate level based on experience Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with specialty products using Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution models Expertise with Payer Reimbursement Managers Biologic, Rare Disease or Respiratory sales experience Experience selling in IDN systems
