The Event Sales Manager is a key revenue-driving role responsible for selling and coordinating weddings, catering events, and golf group sales at Red Hawk Golf and Resort. This individual will proactively develop new business, manage client relationships, and ensure seamless event planning from initial inquiry through handoff to the Operations team for execution. The ideal candidate is a confident, creative, and relationship-driven sales professional with a passion for hospitality and proven success in event sales.

Essential Duties
Actively solicit and secure business for weddings, catering events, golf groups, business meetings, and social functions.
Conduct outbound sales efforts, respond to inquiries, and build interest through networking, referrals, and community presence.
Create and maintain relationships with event planners, vendors, and local businesses to build a strong pipeline.
Conduct property tours and present event spaces to prospective clients.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize event details including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
Manage deposits and payments to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
Participate in weekly sales and BEO meetings to review upcoming events and communicate details to the Food & Beverage and Golf Operations teams.
Works closely with the Director of Golf, and Banquet and Events Manager, to ensure seamless operations for all events.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and digital marketing strategies to promote event spaces and services.
Assist in creating and updating catering menus, pricing, and rental fees.
Prepare and analyze reports such as weekly catering revenue forecasts and pipeline status.
Monitor business volume forecasts and communicate staffing and equipment needs to operations teams.
Maintain vendor profiles for services such as audio/visual, floral, and rentals.
Ensure compliance with company policies and deliver exceptional service to achieve guest satisfaction.
Other job duties as assigned and needed to ensure seamless execution of events.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality (private club, resort, or golf venue experience preferred).
Proven track record of driving revenue and growing event business.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Attention to detail, strong computer skills.
Experience with CRM and event management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
Physical Demands Frequently talks and hears. Regularly walks, stands, sits and uses hands. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
Environment/Noise Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Compensation: $60,000 base + commission
