The Sales Event Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of sales meetings, trade events, and customer-facing experiences that drive engagement, brand visibility, and commercial performance. This role ensures that all sales events—from national conferences to regional activations—are strategically aligned with business objectives, executed flawlessly, and deliver measurable impact through participant experience, operational excellence, and ROI.
Key Responsibilities Event Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute an annual calendar of sales meetings, conferences, and trade events aligned with commercial priorities and go-to-market strategies
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Strategy teams to define event goals, messaging, and audience engagement strategies
Design event concepts, agendas, and deliverables that reinforce brand positioning and support sales enablement initiatives
Execution & Logistics Management
Oversee all logistical elements, including venue selection, vendor management, contract negotiation, travel coordination, and on-site event execution
Manage event budgets, ensuring financial discipline, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies
Lead cross-functional coordination with Marketing, IT, and Operations to ensure timely production of materials, displays, and sales assets
Manage trade show materials, including development, distribution, field sharing logistics, and replenishment - ensuring brand consistency across all event materials
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and agencies to ensure seamless collaboration and executional excellence
Negotiate and manage relationships with event service providers, including production companies, caterers, and audio-visual partners
Coordinate with Sales Leadership on speaker preparation, presentation materials, and communication plans
Sales Enablement & Engagement
Partner with Enablement and Communications teams to integrate product showcases, training modules, and recognition programs into event design
Support the creation and distribution of pre- and post-event communications, including surveys, recaps, and performance dashboards
Ensure events foster engagement, motivation, and alignment among sales teams and customers
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish KPIs and feedback mechanisms to evaluate event effectiveness and participant satisfaction
Analyze post-event performance to identify opportunities for enhancement and future optimization
Maintain event documentation, best practices, and process improvements to drive scalability and consistency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
5–7 years of experience in event management, trade marketing, or sales operations with a focus on corporate or customer-facing events
Proven success managing complex event logistics, vendor negotiations, and budget oversight
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled at influencing cross-functional partners and presenting to leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management and event planning tools (e.g., Cvent, Asana, Monday.com)
Travel: 20-30%
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA or related field)
Experience within consumer goods, retail, or B2B sales organizations
Knowledge of trade show design, experiential marketing, or incentive event programs
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or related certification preferred
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital engagement platforms
