About the Role Sandvik Coromant is seeking a dynamic and strategic
Key Account Manager
to lead and grow relationships with key customers and partners across the Midwestern US. This role is part of our SAA sales organization and is responsible for managing our company’s overall relationships and contractual terms and conditions with selected key customers or external business partners as related to sales; these include end customers, machine tool manufacturers and channel partners.
You will be responsible for developing and executing business plans, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving growth through collaboration with cross-functional teams. This high-impact role includes managing global and regional commercial terms for Global Accounts, Local Key Accounts, and MTS customers within your area. You will ensure that agreed terms and conditions in the selected Key Accounts are effectively implemented in the local market. Additionally, you contribute to achieving agreed targets and follow up on business results and initiate remedial actions when there are deviations.
Your contributions will support continuous development and improvement of our processes, ways of working, and customer offerings for LKA, SAM, GAM and MTS segments, with visibility and impact across both regional and global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Create and lead the execution of strategy and business plans for each selected customer
Contribute to and execute LBP activities as they relate to key customers in conjunction with the local sales management team.
Develop and implement business plans and customer value propositions (CVPs).
Collaborate with account managers and cross-functional teams to drive execution.
Support local sales teams in achieving targets and removing barriers to success.
Negotiate and implement commercial (NPC) partnership agreements globally.
Drive knowledge sharing and best practices across the Key Account network.
Monitor account performance, forecast business trends, and report to senior leadership.
Assist FLS to drive sales of our more advanced products and services.
Organize executive visits and customer engagement events.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Proven success in account or sales management, with strong negotiation skills.
Experience in the metal cutting industry, MTM, or project management is a plus.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across cultures and levels.
Comfortable working in a global matrix organization.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
