Annual Compensation:
$42,000 - $57,000 BOE/Education
Additional Annual Compensation:
$4,000 - $13,000 for individual lessons, group lessons & bonus
General Purpose To elevate the overall member experience through the efficient administration of daily operations and a strong commitment to exceptional customer service. This role supports staff training, POS system operation, tournament assistance, sales and merchandise activities, handicap and tee sheet management, and other duties assigned.
Essential Duties
Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member/guest satisfaction.
Assists in the management of department members that may include, but is not limited to, Starters, Player Assistants, and Guest Services Attendants.
Assists the Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining maintenance associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Assists in developing ongoing training programs.
Creates lesson plans and provides both individual and group instruction, including junior golf development programs.
Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check‑in, and receives payments from members and guests.
Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment.
Track all force posts and no‑show charges as applicable.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and well‑stocked golf shop.
Assists retail buyer with procurement and merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
Monitors all members’ scores, reports handicapping to USGA and bills members.
Initiates and promote all club golf activities.
Performs other duties as required.
Education / Experience Associate’s degree (AA); or six months to one‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates / Licenses Current PGA/LGPA Membership or currently enrolled in the PGA PGM Program working towards membership.
Physical Demands Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.
Experience with Golf Genius Software.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
