Job Overview Williams Fire Sprinkler Company is looking for a detail-oriented Drafting / CAD Technician to support the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and government facilities. Responsibilities
Design and layout sprinkler systems using AutoSprink, HydraCAD, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
Perform system calculations to ensure NFPA compliance and design integrity
Review construction documents, architectural drawings, and specifications
Coordinate closely with general contractors, engineers, and other trades
Support project teams by assisting with material delivery coordination and installation sequencing
Conduct field site visits for design verification and constructability assessments
Apply knowledge of NFPA standards, hazard classifications, and building codes to each design
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for project files
Qualifications
Proficiency with AutoSprink, AutoCAD, or related design software
Familiarity with fire protection design principles and construction coordination
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction contracts
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook and Excel
Clear communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Valid driver’s license required
Desire to pursue NICET certification in layout of sprinkler systems (support provided)
