Job Description Senior Account Technical Strategist is responsible for assisting the sales team with in-depth technical knowledge of the company’s product, spotting opportunities and mapping business benefits to features and functions. As a Senior Account Technical Strategist you will also be responsible for demonstrating the product capabilities to prospective TIBCO customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with customers to understand their business issues and formulate value propositions in the Analytics space

Define Analytics solution architecture and elaborate on business benefits and return of investment

Be creative in pushing the value of the overall TIBCO Analytics platform (initial focus on Spotfire, to be extended to Jaspersoft)

Provide product expertise support to sales force (TIBCO SSG, VAR/OEM and Partners sales directors, Analytics direct and indirect sales, BDE) on the full range of sales cycles

Deliver Spotfire presentations, demonstrations, workshops and manage and coordinate proofs-of-concept on real customer environment

Work with Partners to transfer knowledge, build joint value propositions, and provide support as required during their pre‑sales cycles

Contribute to formal bids and invitations to tender

Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in pre‑sales cycle

Keep up with industry trends and best practices

Provide feedback to the Engineering, Marketing, Support, Field Sales and SC teams on value propositions, experiences, lessons learned, product evolution, etc.

Required Experience/Skills

Desire to learn and train to become a Sales Consultant – Presales. Spending up to 80% of your time preparing for that 20% of time when you’re in front of the customer

Minimum of 2 years of successful developer and customer support experience

Candidate must be self‑motivated, detail minded, organized and pursue excellence on all tasks

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

Ability to solve problems using a creative and logical mind set

Knowledge of Analytics and Big Data concepts, technologies and architecture is a must

Customer facing experience is preferred but not mandatory

Ideally with past experiences at companies like Tableau, Qlick, MicroStrategy, SAS, Birst, Domo, MapR, InformationBuilders, and also SAP, IBM or Microsoft, Google, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Teradata/Aster, HP, EMC, but limited to their Analytics solutions

French mother tongue, fluency in English is a must; additional fluency in another European language would be a plus

Ability to articulate the value of technical capabilities to different audiences

Education MSc in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics

Compensation and Benefits Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job‑related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NY generally ranges: $113,156-$169,734; CA generally ranges: $118,077-$177,115; All other locations fall under our General State range: $98,397-$147,595. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work. U.S. based employees are typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance and disability benefits, 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
