Junior Business Analyst POSITION SUMMARY

The Jr. Business Analyst provides essential support for documentation, data gathering, and project logistics. This role focuses on maintaining organized project artifacts, capturing low‑complexity requirements, and assisting the senior team in validating system behaviors through the user interface (UI).

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Analytics Manager

Supervises: None

Major Responsibilities

Data & Analysis: Assist with data gathering and reporting. Collect, clean, and organize data for others to analyze.

Project Execution & Agility: Support documentation and meeting logistics. Help the team maintain organized project artifacts and run sprint and scrum meetings smoothly.

Process Modeling & Documentation: Document low‑complexity processes and requirements. Capture basic requirements and validate documentation accuracy in FECC project management software.

Utility Systems Integration: Understand the user interface (UI) of Systems. Know how a user interacts with the core systems.

ETL & Data Structure: Collect Metadata and assist in data migration. Gather existing data attributes and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Learning and Growth: Demonstrates a commitment to rapid skill acquisition, proactively mastering the team’s tech stack and pursuing foundational certifications in business analytics and project management. Actively seeks feedback and applies lessons learned to iterate on the quality and speed of analytical deliverables. Leverages learning opportunities to transition from supervised task execution to independent ownership of complex business workstreams.

Internal Relationships

A. This role requires a strong partnership with the Analytics Manager/Product Owner by:

Receiving prioritized high‑level requirements and vision from the Analytics Manager/Product Owner and translating them into executable project tasks.

Advising the Analytics Manager/Product Owner on feasibility, effort, and technical constraints to inform backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions.

Ensuring accountability by having the Analytics Manager/Product Owner formally sign off on the final User Stories and Acceptance Criteria before development begins.

B. Sr. Data Engineer: Assist with the documentation for the technical requirements for data integration, transformation (ETL/ELT), and data storage architecture related to the project.

C. Software Developer: Detail user stories and acceptance criteria for implementation. Be the first point of contact for developers on requirement clarity, priority, and functional issues during the build phase. Validate that the developed solution meets the documented specifications.

D. Sr. Data Analyst: Assist capturing data requirements necessary for reporting and analytics. Ensure the data captured by the new system or process is structured correctly for future analytical consumption. Review key metrics to validate that the new system achieves the desired business outcome.

E. All Employees: To assist and support data infrastructure developments and issues.

External Relationships Working with various stakeholders for requirements gathering, and removal of roadblocks.

Wage and Salary This position is an exempt position under the Wage and Hour law, and overtime compensation is not required.

Position Specifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Economics or similar degree is preferred.

Certificates: IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified ScrumMaster.

Experience: 0‑2 years of experience; this is an entry level role with a focus on learning core BA competencies. Familiarity with Business Analysis, Programming, or Project Management is desired.

Job Knowledge:

Basic programming knowledge such as SQL (e.g., select statements), Python or R.

Spreadsheet applications such as Excel or Google Sheets.

Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Basic familiarity with RDBMS.

Must have the ability to quickly obtain knowledge of cooperative departments, software applications, and cooperative principles and operations.

Abilities and Skills:

High attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to learn utility systems and data structures.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions with some irregular hours, travel and overtime required. This is an on‑site position.

Business Analyst POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst owns the requirements for delivery within the project lifecycle. This role focuses on the “what” and the “why,” ensuring that the product backlog is refined and ready for the development team. The Business Analyst acts as a bridge between departmental needs and technical execution, conducting detailed current‑state and future‑state analysis for specific business unit processes.

Reports to Analytics Manager

Supervises: None

Major Responsibilities

Data & Analysis: Execute defined analytical tasks. Fulfill well‑defined data requests and use visualization to communicate findings internally.

Project Execution & Agility: Own the requirements delivery in sprints. Manage the requirements side of the project lifecycle, ensuring the backlog is ready for the team.

Process Modeling & Documentation: Analyze and design department level workflows. Create accurate documentation for specific business unit processes, requirements, issues in FECC project management software.

Utility Systems Integration: Understand core systems and data flow. Know the purpose of key utility systems and how they interact at a transactional level.

ETL & Data Structure: Document data requirements. Define the required data inputs and outputs for specific functional requirements.

Professional Development: Proactively expands technical and functional expertise by pursuing advanced industry certifications (e.g., CCBA, IIBA‑AAC) and mastering emerging analytical toolsets. Accountable for bridging personal knowledge gaps to take independent ownership of increasingly complex workstreams, ensuring all deliverables align with current industry’s best practices and organizational standards.

Sr. Business Analyst POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Business Analyst plays a critical hybrid role, serving as the link between business needs, solution design, and project execution. Reporting directly to the Analytics Manager, this role is responsible for the detailed analysis and documentation of requirements (the “what” and “why”) and the tactical management of the delivery process (the “how” and “when”) for our technology and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical skills, deep process modeling expertise, and proven project execution capabilities in an Agile or hybrid environment.

Reports to Analytics Manager

Supervises: None

Major Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile meetings and acceptance testing to improve and communicate product development to internal and external stakeholders.

Compile, and document product and process requirements, issues, and workflows in FECC project management software.

Create and maintain requirement documentation including flow charts, use cases, etc. to better illustrate feature specifications.

Manage scope, project activities, and change requests to assess their impact on delivery goals.

Identify current‑state inefficiencies and design optimized future‑state business processes, and workflows within various solutions.

Handle ad hoc business queries and requests from management for one‑off data pulls, analysis, and visualizations to provide quick insights to management.

Create clear and concise visualizations to communicate the ad hoc analysis to non‑technical stakeholders.

Knowledge Leadership & Capability Building: Drives the continuous evolution of the Business Analysis practice by spearheading the adoption of innovative methodologies, such as AI‑augmented requirements engineering and advanced data storytelling. Acts as a formal mentor to junior and mid‑level staff, standardizing high‑impact workflows and ensuring the team’s collective analytical maturity keeps pace with shifting market trends and enterprise‑level strategic goals.
