Job Title:
Account Director
We are seeking an experienced Account Director to take full ownership of a high-touch client account, providing strategic guidance and operational support while partnering closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD). This is an opportunity for a proactive leader to manage complex projects independently and make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, time-intensive client.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day account operations, taking work off the SAD’s plate.
Develop strategic plans and oversee execution across multiple workstreams, including congress initiatives, speaker decks, national broadcasts, and potential digital video projects.
Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and drive follow-ups to ensure efficient, productive client interactions.
Lead brainstorming sessions and collaborative calls with the client, translating ideas into actionable plans.
Maintain strategic awareness to anticipate client needs and provide thoughtful solutions.
Partner with team members who are managing their own workstreams, providing guidance without direct reports.
Ensure all deliverables are high quality, on time, and aligned with client expectations.
Qualifications
Strong experience in medical communications, preferably with peer-to-peer and congress-focused accounts.
Demonstrated ability to manage high-maintenance, strategic clients independently.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to create agendas, synthesize discussions, and drive action items.
Proven track record of strategic thinking and problem-solving in client-facing roles.
Comfortable leading calls and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work without direct support, while mentoring or guiding colleagues as needed.
