Plumber Apprentice

As a Plumber Apprentice / Fire Sprinkler Installer, you will be responsible for fitting and installing various types of sprinkler systems, including sprinkler pipes, grove pipes, screw pipes, cast iron pipes, main lines, and branch lines. You will also be tasked with installing sprinkler heads according to blueprints and construction plans.

Responsibilities:

• Fit and install sprinkler pipes, grove pipes, screw pipes, and cast iron pipes.
• Install main lines and branch lines for fire sprinkler systems.
• Install sprinkler heads following specific blueprints and construction plans.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for installation tasks.
• Work closely with plumbing and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Must have 2+ years of installation of plumbing or fire sprinkler installation.
• Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools.
• Basic plumbing and construction knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• A valid driver's license is essential.

Work Environment:

The role is based in Long Island, covering Suffolk and Nassau areas. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some opportunities for overtime. The position requires a hands-on approach in a construction setting.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melville, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
