Credit Analyst/Portfolio Manager

Seeking an experienced Credit Analyst/Portfolio Manager to underwrite and actively engage with Broadly Syndicated Loans (BSL) CLO Managers. The role spans full lifecycle ownershippre-purchase due diligence through approval, closing, and ongoing monitoringwhile partnering with internal risk teams, operations and trading to optimize risk-adjusted returns and meet portfolio objectives. One will build and maintain robust financial models, evaluate refis, resets, paydowns, monthly surveillance, quarterly reporting, manager relationship, size positions relative to risk appetite, and proactively manage credits through market cycles. Success requires deep knowledge of credit documentation, syndicated market dynamics, and portfolio risk management.

Essential duties and responsibilities include leading underwriting for new issue and secondary BSL CLO opportunities, ongoing performance monitoring, identifying deteriorating credits early, managing and building relationships within the CLO Manager universe, driving communications by bringing a real time market perspective to other team members, continuously broadening and deepening expertise in structured finance asset classes appropriate for banking and depository institutions, monitoring markets, reading and analyzing published financial information and dealer research that is applicable, and performing other analytical activities.

Required qualifications include 58+ years of experience in Credit Analysis, Leveraged Finance, BSL underwriting, or Loan Portfolio Management (buy-side or sell-side), strong command of credit agreements and syndicated loan documentation, proven track record managing active BSL portfolios, proficiency with market and risk systems, excellent communications, and ability to operate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred qualifications include Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent education, demonstrated experience and understanding of structured products, experience with sponsor-backed leveraged loans, CLO market dynamics, and secondary trading protocols, proficiency with Bloomberg/TOMs, Trade Web and other operation systems, familiarity with sector coverage, and certifications such as CFA or FRM.
