Job Description

The Junior Estimator - Commercial Construction - Frederick, MD will:

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project plans/specifications using software such as Bluebeam and Planswift.
• Coordinate bid submissions and maintain organized documentation throughout the bidding process.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing and scope details.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support preconstruction efforts, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.

The Successful Applicant

The Junior Estimator - Commercial Construction - Frederick, MD will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction within commercial construction.
• Familiarity with bidding processes and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
