Personal Injury Paralegal
StaffBuffalo is working with a highly respected, fast‑paced law firm in the Buffalo, NY area to hire an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal. This is a full‑time opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $60,000–$70,000, depending on experience, and the chance to play a meaningful role in complex, high‑impact personal injury matters.
This is not an assembly‑line paralegal role. The Personal Injury Paralegal will work closely with a Senior Partner on substantive cases, supporting key decision points such as settlement strategy and trial readiness. This position is ideal for a seasoned PI professional who values ownership, precision, and accountability — and who takes pride in being the person who ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
The firm values professionalism, reliability, and strong organizational instincts. This role is best suited for someone who naturally builds “safety nets,” anticipates next steps, and does not need reminders to follow through.
This is a full‑time, in‑office position in Buffalo. Hybrid flexibility may be considered after successful onboarding and training.
Key Responsibilities
Support a Senior Personal Injury Partner with active, complex PI matters
Prepare, organize, and manage case materials to support settlement and trial‑readiness decisions
Draft and review pleadings, Bills of Particulars, and other personal injury documentation
Track deadlines, discovery status, and incoming records to ensure cases remain on track
Maintain highly organized electronic case files and documentation
Coordinate closely with the assigned Legal Assistant to ensure smooth case progression
Assist with trial preparation as cases advance
Serve as a reliable, proactive point of support to ensure accuracy, organization, and follow‑through
Qualifications
4+ years of Personal Injury Paralegal experience required
Strong hands‑on experience with pleadings, Bills of Particulars, and PI documentation
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven law firm environment
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Professional, dependable, and capable of supporting senior attorneys with minimal supervision
Strong computer skills and confidence working with electronic filing systems
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $60,000–$70,000, depending on experience
Hourly position with overtime potential
