The Event Support - Barback plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our events, assisting bartenders, and maintaining a well-stocked and clean bar area. Responsibilities
Stocking and Restocking:
Ensure F&B areas are stocked with necessary supplies, including liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes etc. Regularly replenish these items throughout the event.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep F&B areas clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces, removing empty glasses and bottles, and disposing of trash. Assist with washing glassware and utensils.
Support F&B Team:
Assist all F&B team members with preparation work, such as cutting fruit for garnishes, preparing simple cocktails, and retrieving items as needed.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the bartenders & event manager. Assist with inventory counts and restocking before and after events.
Guest Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service by answering guest inquiries, providing directions, and ensuring guests have a positive experience.
Setup and Breakdown:
Assist with setting up F&B areas before events, including arranging supplies and equipment. Help with breakdown and cleanup after events, ensuring all equipment is properly stored.
Compliance:
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with bartenders, servers, and event staff to ensure seamless service and a successful event.
Restricted Driving:
Driving any company vehicle or equipment is strictly prohibited.
Working Conditions
Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.
Occasional local day travel, Local travel to managed businesses.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.
A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or event setting.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.
