Job Overview
The Cooker Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the cooker and associated rendering equipment to produce a high quality finished product that will meet all food safety plan and production requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform daily inspection of equipment to ensure safe operation, food safety and performance specifications.
Communicate any issues with safety, food safety plan or production limitations to the management team.
Monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency.
Monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and react accordingly.
Perform all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
Assist with maintenance as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
Required to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Requires frequent standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
Requires good vision acuity.
Qualifications
Must communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
Must understand fundamental principles of manufacturing.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to cross‑train personnel to replace position in the event of absence.
Work Conditions
Third Shift (Night Shift) – 2, 2, 3 schedule / 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM.
Pay: $18.10 + $1.00 shift differential.
Additional Requirements
