JR-114735**Location:**Medical Center-Prosper**Department:**Patient and Family Experience**Shift:**Varying Shifts (United States of America)**Standard Weekly Hours:**20**Summary:**The Guest Relations Specialist will provide a welcoming presence and excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff by providing information and giving personal attention to each guest. At Cook Children's every guest should feel like family. This position oftentimes provides the first impression of Cook Children's when patients and families are often scared, uncertain, and confused when they enter. Our Guest Relations Specialist helps ensure patients and families that they are in great hands and have come to the best place to care for their child. You will quickly establish a welcoming rapport and make a difference in families' day and healthcare journey. As part of the Patient/Family/Member Experience team, you will contribute towards our mission to give voice to what patients, families, and members see, advocate for how experiences affect well-being, provide support and emotional safety, and elevate people, processes, and technology. This position will also assist the Patient Experience Manager with the organization of parent events and patient programming.Education, Experience & Knowledge:* High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.* Three (3) years of professional work experience required; experience in a health care setting preferred.* Strong Customer Service skills, collaborative work ethic, independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, positive and professional demeanor with high integrity and ethics are all qualities necessary to be successful in this position.* Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish (preferred).Hours:* 20 hours per week. Must be flexible and available to meet the needs of the department by working additional shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as needed.* **Sat/Sun** 8:00am-6:30pm* **Monday-Friday** 6:00am-7:00pmCook Children’s is an equal opportunity employer.
