Position Summary
The Leasing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the leasing and marketing efforts of the apartment community. This position focuses on prospect engagement, administrative support, and ensuring apartments and common areas are ready for tours and move-ins. The Leasing Assistant works closely with the leasing team to drive occupancy, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain a welcoming community environment.
Key Responsibilities Leasing & Prospect Support
Answer inbound phone calls and make outbound prospect follow‑up calls
Respond to leasing inquiries and assist with managing the lead queue
Schedule and confirm tours and leasing appointments
Assist prospects throughout the application process, including document collection and follow‑ups
Support leasing consultants with coordinating and preparing for move‑ins
Administrative & Marketing Support
Assist with sending move‑in communications and coordinating move‑in logistics
Collect and track basic market data, including competitor pricing and specials
Support outreach efforts, including local marketing and resident engagement
Assist with social media posting and online engagement as directed
Property Presentation
Walk and inspect the leasing tour path daily to ensure a clean and welcoming presentation
Assist with “sparkling” vacant apartments and preparing units for new move‑ins
Walk model apartments to ensure they are tour‑ready and presentable at all times
Team & Community Support
Provide excellent customer service to prospects and residents
Assist with special projects, events, and leasing initiatives as needed
Work collaboratively with leasing, management, and maintenance teams
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous leasing, customer service, or sales experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable with phone sales, follow‑ups, and customer interaction
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software
Professional appearance and positive, team‑oriented attitude
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to walk the property regularly, including stairs
Ability to stand, sit, and move between offices and apartments throughout the day
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends as required
