Rust & Company CPAs is seeking an energetic, ambitious, smart, driven, and experienced accountant to join our team of professionals. We are a well-established (est.1993) and successful CPA firm located in Swanzey, NH.
TAX PREPARER POSITION Are you looking for a growing firm with a great team? We are a firm of 12 team members in a public accounting firm with a strong focus on tax preparation and advisory services. Our firm is growing so opportunities are available for those looking to grow personally and professionally. PRIMARY FUNCTION Tax Preparation
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals
Prepare federal and state business tax returns (partnerships, corporations, S corporations)
Work with clients to prepare tax projects and complete regular tax planning
Returns prepared using UltraTax CS and Thomson Reuters products
SECONDARY FUNCTION Accounting
Anoutsourcedcloud basedaccounting solution for small business clients
Will work with many of the firm’s clients in an outsourced accountantrunning A/P,payrolland reporting for clients
Will assist clients and prospects with QuickBooksOnline as primary business reporting technology
Develop a strong, productive, professional, trusted advisor relationship with assigned clients
Partner with clients by understanding their business and industry and providing ongoing advice, insights and support
INTERPERSONAL/CLIENT DEVELOPMENT SKILLS
Exhibits time management and organization skills
Develops entrepreneurial approach to client service and good working relationships with client personnel
Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrates basic knowledge of client’s businesses
Maintains contacts with peers, develops network of business contacts
Develops means of communication to clients and persons responsible for maintaining relationship with clients
Understands firm ethics and demonstrates them consistently
EXPERIENCE
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Two years of experience in accounting work or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Experience working with QuickBooks a PLUS but NOT required
Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred)
Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach
