We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Repairer 2 to perform a variety of semi‑skilled maintenance and repair tasks at one of its secure care facilities or administrative offices. This position plays a vital role in maintaining safe, functional, and well‑kept environments for youth and staff. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in general maintenance and a commitment to public service. Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Completion of a two‑year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties:
Perform comprehensive maintenance and general repairs across 10 buildings, including facilities, appliances, vehicles, and operational equipment.
Execute automotive, electrical, carpentry, welding, and field repair tasks independently or with lower‑level staff, using blueprints and established techniques.
Diagnose equipment requiring high‑cost repairs, adjust or replace parts as needed, and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
Operate heavy‑duty vehicles and specialized campus equipment in support of maintenance and repair operations.
Apply advanced knowledge of groundskeeping practices, chemical maintenance products, landscaping, and routine lawn care.
Provide custodial support, communicate professionally with the public as needed, and complete additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
