Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Ingram Publisher Services team in our New York office. The position is in the Special Markets group which services Special Sales and Gift accounts. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about books and interested in sales to join a collaborative and fast-paced team. This department sells Ingram Publisher Services clients' titles to a wide variety of accounts, including national accounts, B2B, national parks, subscription boxes, specialty wholesalers, specialty retailers and more. The assistant will work with the Senior Manager and Sales Team, supporting the day-to-day operations and assisting customers. The position is dynamic, detailed and is a great entry point into the world of book publishing and sales. Ingram Content Group ("Ingram") connects people with content in all forms. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma with 4 years of directly related experience. 1-year experience creating spreadsheets in MS Excel, including creating basic mathematical formulas and data manipulation. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), conditional formatting, and data analysis Experience using Canva is plus Key Responsibilities: Prepares and organizes sales material for special market managers and customers, including developing Edelweiss collections, editing and uploading material Assists with developing, editing and distributing department sales reports on a biweekly basis Process sample orders for account managers and customers Reserves inventory for key customers as needed Process PO's and submit and track workorders Completes new title and status worksheets for accounts Maintains departmental tracking grids for orders, sales, and special projects Attends specific publisher meetings and provides feedback and notes to Sales Reps/Account Managers Coordinates catalog and sample mailings Assists account managers with sales, operations and shipping queries Assists with customer service issues Handles routine customer and publisher queries for supervisor as needed Assists with weekly and monthly internal and external newsletters and business updates This list is not exhaustive. Hiring Salary Range: $22.02/hr. - $26.64/hr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
