Kemin Human Nutrition and Health is seeking a motivated and strategic account representative to join our growing team. If you bring B2B experience in health ingredients, dietary supplements, or the food and beverage sector, this role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact. In this position, you will take ownership of all sales activities and customer relationships within your assigned territory. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to Kemin customers while meeting key financial objectives, including sales growth, margin performance, operating income, and sales expense targets. After an on-site onboarding period in our headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, the role is foreseen to be home-based somewhere in or close to your territory. Lead Kemin's business unit expansion and sales for the West Coast territory in the USA (defined as WA, MT, OR, ID, WY, NV, UT, CO, TX) + Canada, lead Kemin expansion and sales growth in both existing accounts (a healthy mix of both large and medium customers) and develop your own new accounts through active prospecting. Responsible for selling the complete Kemin health product portfolio by making technical sales presentations about Kemin products/services. Obtain on average of 20 meetings with customers each month. Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin in accordance with annual sales budgets and growth targets. Developing customer-based plans for existing customers and identifying prospective customers and building a healthy sales pipeline. Coordinate customer account activities and product pricing with staff in the other sales areas to meet customer needs and objectives. May work together with other account managers in a team selling approach for certain accounts. Responsible for all associated sales administration for your territory such as building forecast reports that will feed consensus meetings with sales information for production and inventory management and to report activity and maintain the sales reporting database. Collaborate with cross functional teams in developing and implementing a marketing plan for the territory. Work with other departments to meet customer objectives and to ensure customers' needs are met regarding quality data and targeted turnaround times. Authoring and executing strategic plans for key customers. Establishing relationships with individuals at all levels of the customers' organization. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry groups and key influencers. Closing the sale. May attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events and attend periodic visits to the Kemin health headquarters in Des Moines or incidental meetings abroad. May mentor account representatives. 25% Travel Qualifications

Education & experience: Bachelor's degree in related scientific field, business or closely related field with 0-3 years of industry specific experience in sales. A solid understanding of biological sciences in order to prepare and present detailed technical and commercial presentations to prospective customers. Prior experience in managing sales projects to a successful completion. A high degree of energy and personal motivation, demonstrated project and time management skills, and strong interpersonal skills. An in-depth understanding of Kemin products and of the specific marketplace, including producers as well as ingredient suppliers to the industry. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products and database development programs and the ability to train others in these systems. Excellent communications skills. Must have and maintain an insurable driving record. A post-offer background check and drug screen is required. Additional pre-employment requirements may be necessary based on position.
