Job Title: Sheet Metal Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and work alongside our crew on a high-profile industrial project in St. George, SC. This long-term opportunity involves supervising and performing heavy-duty ductwork fabrication and installation in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is also comfortable being on the tools at least 50% of the time, ensuring both productivity and quality in the field.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and mentor a crew of sheet metal mechanics and helpers.

Work hands-on performing installation, fabrication, measuring, cutting, and fitting of sheet metal ductwork (approx. 50% of the role).

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan daily work.

Assign tasks, coordinate workflow, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project standards.

Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively while modeling proper technique.

Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain schedule alignment.

Monitor material usage, track inventory, and coordinate deliveries as needed.

Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.

Document progress, report issues, and support project timeline goals.

Essential Skills

5+ years of sheet metal installation experience in industrial or commercial environments.

2+ years of leadership or crew-lead experience overseeing field teams.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Strong hands-on skills in duct fabrication, installation, measuring, cutting, and fitting.

Ability to work on the tools at least 50% of the time while supervising crew activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Sheet metal certifications are a plus, but not required.

Work Environment Candidates will be working on a data center in St. George. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint George, SC.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $38.00/hr.
