Location: Louisville, KY (In-Person) Compensation: Total compensation starting at $100,000+ (base + commission) Schedule: Full-time | Five-day work week | Saturdays required (one weekday off) About Davis Jewelers

Davis Jewelers is seeking an empathetic, people-first Sales Manager to lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of approximately 10 sales professionals. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the showroom floor, believes in developing people as much as driving results, and understands how to balance sales performance with an exceptional client experience. This role is a priority hire, and the right leader will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on team morale, performance, and client satisfaction. What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and motivate a commissioned sales team with varying levels of experience (from newer hires to long-tenured luxury professionals)

Be consistently present on the showroom floor, modeling world-class client experience and sales behaviors

Drive individual and team sales performance through goal-setting, coaching, and accountability

Mentor team members by meeting them where they are and helping them grow their confidence and sales skills

Balance performance metrics with people development, fostering a supportive and encouraging team culture

Partner closely with leadership on scheduling, training, and sales strategy

Support daily showroom operations in a fast-paced, live retail environment

Address client and team concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidence

What You Bring

Proven experience leading a retail sales team (luxury retail strongly preferred)

Experience managing commissioned sales professionals and performance goals

A true coaching mindset with the ability to motivate different personality types

Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills

Comfort working in a high-touch, high-expectation customer environment

Ability to thrive in an active, on-your-feet retail leadership role

Jewelry experience is not required; transferable luxury or high-ticket retail experience is highly valued

Industries that translate well: Luxury or high-end furniture and home dcor
