This position is responsible for all inspections, routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and engineering changes on all of the stamping dies. Responsibilities: Perform routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all stamping dies and related components. Conduct inspections, root cause analysis, in-press diagnosis, and repairs of the stamping dies. Engage in welding to repair worn or damaged tools, fabricate new components, and enhance tool properties. Disassemble, assemble, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with presses and dies, collaborating with engineers and equipment manufacturers to improve processes. Manage rigging and lifting for die sets. Operate in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to prudent safety standards. Experience with HAAS or ACER mills/lathes is strongly preferred. Read and interpret blueprints with accuracy. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measurement instruments, inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour, and defects, and make necessary adjustments. Essential Skills: Proficiency in tool and die, manual lathe, and blueprint reading. Machining and manual machining skills. Expertise in die repair and troubleshooting. Experience with progressive die, manual lathe, manual mill, grinder, stamping, die maintenance, grinding, surface grinding, and Bridgeport. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in tool and die or a journeyman card (tooling), with schooling also acceptable. Experience in machines including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and welding machines (Mig and Tig). Experience in die deconstruction and reassembly. Experience in lifting and rigging to move large die sets. Experience with spectrometer and Argus systems is a plus. Why Work Here?
