A/R Collections Specialist

We are seeking an intermediate-level A/R Specialist with a solid foundation and 1-2 years of hands-on experience in medical billing to join our Dallas based billing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate claims processing, tackling denials, managing resubmissions, and driving successful collections for home health services across multiple payer sources. Ideal candidates will have: Experience with medical billing denials, appeals, ERAs/EOBs Consistently meet and adhere to department and payer deadlines Strong attention to detail, research, and analytical skills. A collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with your team. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to accept feedback. A passion for problem-solving and navigating complex issues. Key responsibilities: Navigate systems to file timely reconsiderations and appeals. Communicate with payers to track and resolve balances, correct and reprocess claims, and appeal discrepancies. Investigate and resolve claim denials, ensuring accurate corrections and timely resubmissions. Review and resolve unpaid balances on assigned accounts. Conduct eligibility checks across various insurance providers, ensuring timely holds/discharges and notifying relevant parties. Collaborate across departments, maintain compliance, and deliver excellent customer service. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two (2) years of medical billing experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and medical billing systems.
