This position involves detaining suspected violators, detecting and enforcing laws related to international trade, utilizing intelligence techniques for threat identification, and conducting interviews as part of law enforcement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect suspected smugglers using proven law enforcement methods
- Enforce laws governing imports/exports/international shipping
- Analyze data to identify potential threats or conduct investigations in support of border security efforts
Educational Requirements:
Candidates must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that includes specific knowledge areas such as detention procedures, import/export laws, intelligence analysis and interviewing skills.
