What you'll do As a Solution Designer for the Bandwidth Monetization Platform team, you will play a critical role in designing the company's Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) system architecture. You will be responsible for defining scalable solutions for projects that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and support evolving business needs. Your role will involve defining end-to-end architectures for BSS and OSS initiatives and supporting the engineering teams implementing those architectures. This role requires a solid technical background, technical leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with collaborators and technology teams.

The day-to-day

Defining end-to-end solution designs for BSS and OSS projects, modernizing legacy systems and migrating to cloud-native, scalable solutions.

Collaborating closely with product managers and business partners to ensure that capabilities align with business needs.

Working closely with the engineering delivery teams implementing the solutions.

Monitoring industry trends and new technologies, recommending solutions that enhance business support systems and operational support systems functionality and efficiency.

Ensuring compliance with industry standards, data security, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Demonstrated ability in BSS/OSS solution architecture and design within the telecommunications industry.

Good understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS

Solid understanding of API standards and system integration patterns

US or Canadian Citizenship required

Ability to travel up to 10%

Good understanding of how to build with a domain driven approach.

Excellent partner management skills, with the ability to drive multi-functional collaboration.

Experience with satellite telecommunications products and services.

Knowledge of industry standard including those from TM Forum ODA, MEF and 3GPP.

Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.

Salary range $135,000.00 - $213,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $168,000.00- $252,000.00/ annually.
