Overview
Our Investment Property Lending (IPL) team is expanding—and we’re hiring a seasoned
Commercial Lending Loan Administrator II
to enhance loan processing, documentation, servicing, and member experience. You’ll serve as the heart of our lending operations: overseeing new deal flow and portfolio compliance, ensuring seamless transitions from application to closing, and nurturing long-term member relationships.
The Loan Administrator II is required to have moderate to advanced experience and knowledge of lending principles, loan documentation, and all pertinent state and federal guidelines and regulations. This position ensures efficient and timely processing of new loan opportunities, as well as the ongoing review and compliance of existing loans, with a focus on the collection and review of entity documents, third-party due diligence items, and other loan related documents. Works with Investment Property Loan Officers (IPLO), vendors, and Members to communicate UWCU processes and expectations to create a smooth experience for all parties. Takes ownership to cultivate a positive Member relationship throughout the loan process providing a seamless transition from loan application to closing and servicing. Provides high-level & comprehensive Member service through the life of the loan to maintain a trusted relationship. Functions as a reliable resource to assist with questions or resolve issues as they arise.
This position may be asked to assist in providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff within the department.

Responsibilities End-to-End Loan Management
Manage full-cycle commercial loan processing: collect entity documents, coordinate and review due diligence, prepare documentation, and close loans efficiently.
Review loan files against policy, confirming alignment with approval and compliance standards.
Prepare funding details, initiate wire transfers, and liaise with title companies and internal teams for account openings.
Loan Servicing
Board closed loans into systems and archive documents.
Monitor covenant/tracker obligations, partnering with Officers to drive timely submissions.
Handle renewals, modifications, and member inquiries—keeping relationships strong.
Member Experience & Relationship Management
Guide members, Realtors, and vendors through each step with clarity and professionalism.
Serve as a primary resource post-close, resolving inquiries and identifying opportunities to cross-sell.
Mentor junior staff on advanced issues and escalations, ensuring high member satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Train and support Loan Admin I and new team members.
Proficiency with software used in commercial lending.
Drive process enhancement and share insights during team meetings.
Embrace change, drive departmental strategy, and engage in ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Associates' degree required.
4-5 years of experience as a Loan Administrator with a Commercial Lending Department, in lieu of specific experience willing to consider some combination of commercial lending experience in the following roles: Loan Administrator, Loan process/Closer, Paralegal, Title company, Commercial Real Estate company.
Must possess or obtain and maintain Notary Public certification in accordance with state requirements.
Moderate or higher knowledge of loan documents, appraisals, and title policies.
Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Must be detail oriented and can multitask.
Ability to prioritize tasks and problem solving with minimal assitance.

Ability to grasp, conceptualize and work through instructions to create the desired result.
Moderate understanding of lending principles and loan documents.
