Job Summary The Employee Relations Specialist Senior supports the Human Resources goal of remaining a strategic member of the University community by educating and coaching employees, administrators, managers and supervisors on equitable application of policies and practices. Primary job duties will include consulting and coaching managers and supervisors on effective ways to address workplace issues and corrective action, among other things, in accordance with University and department policy and procedure. The specialist will consult employees on workplace issues and maintain employee relations documentation and records. They will provide guidance to managers and employees regarding University policies, procedures, and other best practices. The position requires the ability to approach each scenario from all perspectives of the business needs as a whole, not just the needs of the individual.

Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, and related liability issues.
