Responsibilities
Southwest HealthcareInland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122‑bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County’s only designated Trauma Center and a county‑designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight‑Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center. Southwest HealthcareRancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California , is a 120‑bed acute‑care hospital with the region’s only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board‑certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area’s only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on‑site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family‑friendly private suites. Rancho’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s. Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive and productive workplace environment by providing expert guidance on HR policies, resolving complex employee issues, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards. Additionally, this role will include assistance with policy administration, performance management, and employee orientation. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, leveraging their expertise to drive engagement, mitigate risk, and support a culture of fairness and inclusion. This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources initiatives, programs, policies, and processes. Some of the areas of responsibility will include onboarding, new‑hire orientation, file maintenance, relationship‑building, and representing the Human Resources function at the two Southwest facilities. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance Recruitment and Retention – Analyzes and trends HR metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies that improve employee retention. Exit Interviews Stay Interviews Behavioral Interviewing
Employee Engagement Performs employee rounding and develops positive, respectful relationships at all levels of the organization. Works closely with supervisors and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retention. Participates in bi‑annual employee engagement survey. Participates in employee activities and chairs or participates in committees and task forces. Conducts New Hire Orientation, ensuring optimal employee experience and improved engagement during on‑boarding process.
Responsible for accurate and timely maintenance and tracking of HRIS data. Oversees unemployment compensation, providing timely information to UI vendor and attending hearings as needed. Provides day‑to‑day performance management guidance to supervisors (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Leads the performance evaluation process, providing technical support to supervisors and staff. Provides support during benefits enrollment. Supervision – May supervise Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Assistant, and/or Human Resources Clerk at multiple locations. Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Director. Minimum Essential Experience
5 years of continuing advanced responsibilities in Human Resources service disciplines required. 2‑3 years of continued experience in employee relations required. Knowledgeable in California Employment Laws strongly preferred. Acute Care experience highly preferred. Minimum Essential Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Human Resources Certificate, PHR, SHRMCP, or Associates degree in a related field is
