Key Responsibilities
Underwrite and price specialized small lines commercial risks with advanced judgment
Provide guidance and expertise to sales teams and agency staff
Build strong agency relationships and lead complex negotiations
Monitor market trends and contribute to innovation in underwriting practices
Mentor and share expertise to elevate team performance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (advanced designations like CPCU, ARM preferred)
6–8+ years of commercial underwriting experience with complex risks
Exceptional analytical, consultative, and communication skills
Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory
Territory & Travel Candidates must reside in New England (CT or MA preferable). This role involves weekly travel, typically within a 3–5 hour radius to meet with agency partners. A company vehicle would be provided.
