Job Description
The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business revenue by building strong customer relationships, delivering expert product knowledge, and providing a seamless sales experience. This role partners closely with Service & Support, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and to promote the Benchmark brand. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly communicative, and customer-centric. The ideal candidate will be covering the Coastal North Carolina region and be located in that area.
Position Duties And Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively reach out to prospective customers via phone, email, and other communication channels.
Product Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of machine control systems, construction tools, and related equipment to effectively support customer needs.
Sales Process Management: Lead customers through the entire sales cycle—from initial contact to closing—ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
Order Management: Process orders accurately and coordinate with operations to ensure timely delivery.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive new and repeat business.
Territory Management: Execute weekly route planning and manage assigned territory to maximize sales opportunities.
Product Promotion: Demonstrate products, explain features, and highlight value propositions to prospective customers.
Collaboration: Work closely with Service & Support and Customer Service to share information and support a unified customer experience.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Sales Reporting: Track pipeline activity, customer feedback, and market trends to support forecasting and strategy.
Market Awareness: Monitor market conditions, competitor products, and pricing to stay informed and competitive.
Continual Learning: Stay current on industry trends, new product developments, and competitive offerings.
