Responsibilities Scope
The Marketing Coordinator supports all functions of the Marketing and Communications Department, contributing to both strategic initiatives and day‑to‑day operations. Key responsibilities include internal and external content creation, conducting market research, supporting clinic and provider marketing needs, coordinating materials and collateral and assisting with event planning and staffing. This position supports and adheres to The US Oncology Network Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates the execution of marketing and communication plans and tactics
Conducts market research and prepares findings to support strategic decision making
Plans and organizes community and outreach events, including preparing materials, coordinating volunteers, and providing on‑site staffing
Assists with content development including writing, editing, and designing content for a variety of materials, including digital and print ads, brochures, flyers, patient communication and website copy
Updates intranet and websites content
Assists in the development, tracking and distribution of marketing reports
Provides general departmental support for clinics, service line initiatives, and organization‑wide communications
Salary Level: $25 - $38 / hour
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, with 0–3 years of relevant experience
Experience managing social media and website content
Writing, editing and graphic design skills
Prior marketing experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events
Physical Demands: Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent interaction with staff, patients and the public.
