We are currently looking for a temporary Metal Building Erector to join our amazing team in Twin Falls. Primary Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises on-site MBE activities in project construction plan in collaboration with Project Superintendent, Steel Division Lead and Project Management
When required, maintains construction schedule to include two to three (2-3) weeks look ahead, identify and solve problems, maintain estimated budget, ensure quality workmanship conforming to original project plans/specifications, identify risks and resolve within guidelines established by PBC and Project Managers
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
Promote jobsite safety, encourage safe work practices, documents and rectifies jobsite hazards immediately
Prepare materials and calibrate machinery prior to performing building erection work
Use cranes and telehandlers to hoist and position metal components into place
Install fiberglass insulation and standing seam roofs
Rig, hoist, and move metallic items within the work area to ensure correct positioning
Guide metal loads into position by following set instructions
Bolt and weld metal works together and ensure that all sections are leveled properly
Perform steelworks dismantling for renovation or pull-down purposes
Cut, melt, and weld metal sections and rods by using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment
Force structural metal components into place by using tools such as crowbars and jacks
Insert sealing strips, wiring and insulation materials, along with installing reinforcement bars
Verify horizontal and vertical alignment of metal structures by using plumb bobs and laser equipment
Erect precast concrete components for metal structures such as buildings, bridges, and towers
Assemble hoisting equipment or rigging, including cables, pulleys, and hooks to ensure safe and easy movement
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience as a metal building erector foreperson
The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects on a regular basis
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Valid Driver License
High School Diploma or Equivalent
