What You’ll Be Doing

Use design modeling software (REVIT® and AutoCAD) to produce constructible 2D and 3D models of electrical system components such as switchgear, cable tray, conduit, panel boards, control panels and lighting.

Prepare construction documents, single‑line diagrams, panel schedules and equipment layouts according to specs, sketches and rough drafts.

Coordinate with other design professionals and the build team to eliminate construction errors and reduce time/costs related to clash detection.

Develop detailed dimensioned installation drawings to improve field electrician efficiency.

Perform surveying, when required, to document existing conditions.

Create prefab drawings, details and BOMs for fabrication.

Perform fundamental engineering functions such as lighting & power design and layouts, single‑line designs, panel schedules and load calculations.

Organize construction drawing details and respond to construction administration items as they arise.

What We’re Looking For

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a consulting or construction environment.

Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AEC, ACC, Autodesk, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office software.

Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local electrical building codes.

Experience using Evolve software is a plus.

Ability to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, drawings and specifications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working independently in a fast‑paced environment, assessing multiple demands and managing priorities with a high degree of detail and organizational skills.

Occasional travel will be required.
