National Grid's Customer Established Service Representative position is an entry level, union-represented role that offers qualified candidates an opportunity to join a challenging, fast paced environment. Position is responsible for completing the detailed transactions and extensive research, analysis and problem-solving necessary to facilitate a timely and satisfactory response to customer issues and concerns.
Under general supervision, have the ability to perform the following job duties, responsibilities, and qualifications, including without limitation:
This position is not remote, but hybrid opportunities available upon completion of in person training and demonstrated proficiency in role.
Duties and responsibilities
Speak to electric and gas trade allies (contractors)
Residential Moves/ Connect and Disconnect
Update/review customer information
Utilize Company information systems to triage, track and update activities
Apply the prescribed company standards guides, specifications practices and procedures;
Perform FACTA (Fair accurate credit transactions act) requirements;
Issue/Reissue field orders
Process paymentsCollection Process active collections and collection arraignments
Triage contractor calls;
Issue emergency ESR; (Electric service request)
Process ESR' GSR requests
Set up premise for initial connection orders
Process New/Upgrade/ Demolition/ Relocation of electric and gas services
Transfer and Assign order to appropriate Job Owner
Administer municipal inspection process
Maintain Multi Meter Sets/Connects
Process Web/Email/Right Fax orders associated with initial connection orders
Account Initiation document review process
Review, assign and add documentation in STORMS and CSS applications
Send all applicable forms and literature to process customer requests
Storm/ Outage Backup Support
Initial Rate classification assignments
Issue Gas/Electric Emergency Outage Orders
Job Qualifications
Must pass HireVue assessment
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to work Overtime both planned and unplanned.
Must be available to work any shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Establish Service Representative 1A shall progress to Establish Service Representative 1B in 6 months
Establish Service Representative 1B shall post and bid to Establish Service Representative 2

Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
