Supplier Relationship Manager – Intra Group Relationships
Hybrid working: 3 days per week from home. Fixed‑term contract: 12 months.
Locations: Salford Quays, Manchester, London, Brighton, Staines, or Leeds.
Salary: £51,800 – £64,700 per annum. Part‑time: 3 days (22.5 hours) per week.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
Onboard suppliers post‑contract award, manage them within the Supplier Management Framework and build and maintain ongoing relationships.
Lead regular governance review meetings with strategic suppliers to assess performance against contract, SLAs, cost, continuous improvement opportunities and quality of service, ensuring FCA compliance where applicable.
Own and manage supplier risk profile, mitigate supply chain risks, conduct due diligence, resolve incidents, and implement root cause analysis.
Drive category strategy, collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovation, efficiencies and business development opportunities, positioning Bupa as a customer of choice.
Conduct internal stakeholder reviews to translate business needs into relationship development plans.
Prioritise and implement continuous improvement in service, cost, risk and flexibility.
Develop action plans to remedy poor performance and manage their successful implementation.
Lead market scanning and benchmarking to monitor supply market direction, maintain competitiveness and shape category strategy.
Provide regular Management Information reports to stakeholders at all organisational levels.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed for This Role
Experience managing suppliers under FCA (SYSC 8/13) and PRA handbook requirements.
Experience in supplier assurance or audit.
Familiarity with outsourced service provider management.
Good knowledge of supply‑chain processes and improvement tools.
Professional Procurement or Risk Management qualifications.
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance activities.
Knowledge and experience drafting contract terms and conditions.
Strong commercial awareness and value‑based delivery track record.
Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
