Wagestream
The Company
Stream is on a mission to bring financial wellbeing to all workers.
We partner with some of the world’s most well-known employers, like Crate & Barrel, Driven Brands, General Electric, New Balance, Restaurant Brands International (RBI) and others, to give their teams access to fairer financial services. Over 3 million people track their shifts and earnings, start their first savings account, use budgeting tools, access financial education and choose when they want to get paid. All in one smartphone app.
Stream is unique: VC‑backed and growing at scale‑up pace, but with a social conscience. Some of the world's leading financial charities and impact funds our founding investors.
You’d be joining a team of over 250 passionate, ambitious people — across the UK, Europe and US — building a category‑leading FinTech product with the mission to improve the lives of millions.
The Role We're looking for a Product Growth Marketer who will become the voice of stream to our members—the workers who use our app every day. This isn't a traditional marketing role. You'll sit embedded in the product team, owning how we communicate with employees across every touchpoint: in‑app messaging, push notifications, email campaigns, financial education content, and lifecycle communications.
You'll translate complex financial products into clear, empathetic, action‑driving messages that help people take control of their money. You'll work at the intersection of product, data, and storytelling—testing, learning, and optimizing how we speak to members to drive engagement, adoption, and real financial behavior change.
What You’ll Own
All member‑facing communications strategy and execution - in‑app, email, push, SMS
Product messaging and positioning for our suite of financial tools (Flexible Pay, Savings, Budgeting, Financial Education, Credit Building)
Lifecycle marketing programs that drive activation, engagement, retention, and cross‑product adoption
Content creation for financial education and coaching materials that make complex topics accessible and actionable
Growth experiments and A/B tests to optimise messaging performance and member outcomes
Collaboration with Product, Data, and Engineering to instrument campaigns and measure impact
Voice and tone standards that ensure all member communications are clear, empathetic, and authentic to our mission
About You
3‑5 years experience in growth marketing, product marketing, or lifecycle marketing (ideally in fintech, consumer finance, or social impact tech)
Exceptional writer who can simplify complexity and make financial concepts feel approachable and empowering
Data‑driven experimenter who uses insights to inform creative and tests everything
Comfortable working autonomously and making decisions quickly in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborative mindset—you thrive working directly with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers
Passion for financial inclusion and social impact
Nice to Have
Experience with behavioural science principles and habit formation
Background in financial services, earned wage access, or employee benefits
Familiarity with frontline worker populations (retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.)
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
Working Policy We operate a hybrid policy with a requirement of
4
days a week in the New York office, with Monday and Thursday being mandatory, in‑office days.
Salary Salary will vary depending on experience, typically up to $130,000+ plus equity. We are assessing multiple levels for this role.
What will we do for you?
10 days vacation increasing to 15 days after one year of service in addition to federal holidays, as well as flexible time off allowances for any ad‑hoc childcare/family/caring needs
12 weeks paid Maternity Leave and 2 weeks paid Paternity Leave for employees with over 12 months service
Health, dental and vision benefits (a number of these benefits are paid in full for the employee)
We want to invest in you financially, so we have a 401K program
And of course, the best benefit of all, access to Stream!
Equal Opportunity Statement At Stream we celebrate and support our differences. We know employing a team rich in diverse thoughts, experiences, and opinions allows our employees, our product and our community to flourish. Wagestream is an equal opportunity workplace. We are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity/expression, or veteran status.
