Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and overseeing the marketing efforts for all communication efforts for the company in the social media sphere. Ensure social media and web are monitored for opportunities to engage in active and relevant conversations about the property. Manage overall brand on social media and create online marketing strategies.
Develop planning and execution of programs designed to attract and service tour and bus groups. Prepare bus marketing activity reports and schedule a monthly review of results.
Manage the ACSC system promotional eBonus codes associated with the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course Bus Program in conjunction with Player Services' already established procedures. Confirm the validity of the redemption of these codes, as well as the utilization of accessing the database to measure the results of the program.
Develop and create co-op programs with hotels designed to promote travel destination programs focused on casino trips.
Collaborate with VP of Marketing for planning and execution of casino promotions and events.
Maintain current and monthly marketing event and staffing calendars.
Help create and submit rules and regulations for promotional events.
Ensure completion and compliance of required checklist sign-offs for all promotional programs.
Ensure compliance with all internal controls and Corporate SOX documents.
Represent the casino in various community, civic, and social organizations and work as a liaison between these organizations and the casino to promote the property's complete entertainment experience
Directly supervise employees in the Marketing area.
Generate business-to-business relationships with the regional business community to develop leads for group business and banquet sales.
Act as a property liaison with the local chamber and community organizations.
Work closely with the VP of Marketing to develop, implement, and execute overall strategies with media advertising and marketing.
Oversee development and operation of group and line run bus program, handling contractual agreements, taking responsibility for staffing and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business demands, and identifying new market revenue opportunities.
Responsible for the appropriate analysis of the bus program, including pre- and post-event proformas, in order to meet revenue targets.
Work closely with Corporate representatives for ongoing development of the property website; oversee management of the property website regarding creation and placement of content; work with other internal departments to establish timely reviews and posting updates of property information, special events, and functions.
Work on the creation and execution of guest promotional events, sweepstakes, and prize giveaways.
Achieve desired results through staff development and training programs, established methods, procedures and guidelines to maintain desired standards, and high-quality service.
Familiarization with all company brand programs and systems.
Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
Present oneself as a Credit to the Company and encourage others to do the same.
Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in marketing, finance or related field; five years progressively more challenging leadership roles in marketing or operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in multiple communication channels including direct mail, e‑mail and social media required.
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
