Job Title: Digital Forensic Lead – CMMC & CUI Compliance
Location:
United States (Remote)

regulated government and defence environments . This organisation supports mission-critical customers handling
Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
and operates at the forefront of
digital forensics, incident response, and compliance-driven security . This is a confidential opportunity to take ownership of forensic strategy in environments where accuracy, integrity, and regulatory assurance are essential.
What will you be doing?
Leading digital forensic investigations across endpoints, servers, cloud, and mobile environments
Acting as the primary forensic authority during security incidents, ensuring evidence integrity and defensibility
Maintaining strict chain of custody processes, documentation, and evidence handling standards
Ensuring all forensic activities align with
CMMC Level 2/3 ,
NIST 800-171 ,
RMF , and
CUI protection requirements
Developing and maintaining forensic playbooks and incident response procedures for regulated environments
Preparing high-quality forensic reports suitable for audits, legal review, and executive governance
Supporting audit readiness and working closely with assessors, compliance teams, and leadership
Mentoring and guiding analysts on forensic best practices and compliance obligations
Are you the ideal candidate?
5+ years’ experience in
digital forensics and incident response
within enterprise or government environments
Strong, practical knowledge of
CMMC, CUI handling, NIST 800-171, RMF , and audit expectations
Proven ability to lead investigations where evidence may be subject to regulatory or legal scrutiny
Hands‑on experience with forensic tools such as
EnCase, FTK, Autopsy , and SIEM/XDR platforms
Confident producing clear, defensible forensic documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences
Certifications such as
GCFA, CHFI, CCE , or equivalent strongly preferred
Active security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required
