We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven
Lighting Sales Specialist
to accelerate ITAB’s lighting growth in the US market. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with lighting distributors, engage with key end users, and support both global and regional accounts. Working as part of the wider global lighting team, this person will play a vital role in shaping ITAB’s presence in North America through proactive business development, collaboration, and market insight.
Key Responsibilities
Distributor Development: Build, manage, and grow relationships with key lighting distributors to strengthen ITAB’s market presence and ensure we are the preferred partner for retail lighting projects.
Business Growth: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through proactive outreach, market research, and relationship building.
End‑User Engagement: Work directly with retailers, designers, and contractors to understand project requirements, present ITAB’s solutions, and drive product specification.
Account Support: Collaborate with global and regional account managers to deliver consistent service and high‑quality project execution for international customers active in the US market.
Project Coordination: Support the customer service and project delivery teams to ensure efficient, on‑time, and cost‑effective execution of lighting projects.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with ITAB’s global design, product development, and supply chain teams to align market requirements, pricing, and solutions.
Market Insight: Monitor trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the US lighting market, reporting insights to shape commercial strategy.
Representation & Networking: Represent ITAB Lighting at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to build visibility and strengthen brand reputation.
Success in the Role Will Include
Achieving annual revenue and margin targets for the US lighting business.
Expanding ITAB’s active distributor network and onboarding new strategic partners.
Increasing ITAB product specification with major US retailers and end users.
Supporting the development and execution of a long‑term go‑to‑market strategy for the US lighting segment.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in lighting or electrical sales — ideally within retail, commercial, or architectural lighting.
Proven experience managing distributor relationships and driving channel growth.
Strong understanding of the US lighting market including key players, pricing structures, and project delivery models.
Experience working with specifiers, designers, and end users in a sales or business development capacity.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Comfortable working independently in a developing market, with strong alignment to global teams.
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel domestically as required.
