As a Product Advisor – Lifecycle management, you will be responsible for understanding the division’s challenges, needs, and requirements, and assisting the organisation in identifying effective solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). In this role, you will lead efforts to structure our products and serve as the primary contact regarding the organisation of products within the bill of materials (BOM) and the product breakdown structure (PBS), which includes mechanics, electronics, and software. A strong interest in PLM, paired with a mechanical or electronic background, makes an excellent foundation for success in this role

What you will be d oing
Local PLM specialist for uncrewed vehicles.
Provide user support PLM locally in Uncrewed Platforms and be part of the community of PLM key users that support PLM across the Kongsberg Discovery organization in general
Be part of the Kongsberg-wide community of key users and PLM specialists from various parts of the business and contribute PLM development and improvement activities that will shape the future of engineering and PLM in Kongsberg Discovery
Provide PLM advice and best practice support for the engineering communities
Support the product engineering organization by delivering PLM structuring and general engineering skills and services into various multi-disciplined process improvement and development projects
Training and follow up of PLM users
We think you should have
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical and / or electronic engineering
Experience with PLM systems, ideally including roles such as key user, super user, methodology owner, or in a support role
Ability to acquire deep knowledge of complex tools and systems, and who has an inherent interest in new technology and a drive for improvement and innovation
Specific experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM is an advantage, but not a requirement, relevant training will be given
General IT competence and knowledge, including for example programming languages, is also beneficial
Practical mechanical or electronic engineering experience from the maritime industry sector or similar is an advantage
You are able to
act on own initiative, make things happen and accepts responsibility for the results
adhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determination
use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead , define clear priorities and allocates resources effectively
analyse complex issues and problems and come up with rational judgments
